What we collect
Through the enquiry forms on this site: from an employer submitting a company enquiry — company name, address and country, representative name, phone number and email address, the industry, the roles sought with their headcount, the country where the work is and, if given, the month they should start, and any message added; from a candidate submitting an application — full name, nationality, location, profession and phone number; from a partner agency submitting an enquiry — agency name, representative name and position, country, email address and phone number, and, if given, the agency's licence number and licensing authority, website, years in operation, main sectors, the countries it recruits in, the size of its candidate database, whether it has a testing or training facility or recruits drivers or marine trades, and any message added. From a candidate who uploads a CV, we also receive the document itself and everything written in it, alongside the name and phone number entered with it — see the section below. The open roles page carries a separate, shorter form for telling us what work you are looking for; what that one collects, and why, has its own section below too. From every visitor who submits a form, we also log the IP address the submission came from, to enforce rate limiting against abuse. The cookies this site sets, and what each one is for, are described in our cookies notice. We also count how many times each page is shown, per day and per language, and how many times an apply button is pressed: a counter and nothing else — no cookie, no IP address, no identifier, nothing that could be traced back to you — and a browser that asks not to be tracked is not counted at all; these counts are kept for 13 months. The talent pool carries a short form for asking us to introduce a candidate: the company name, the representative, an email and a phone number, the candidate’s reference and an optional message — handled exactly as the enquiry forms above, and the only record of who asked about whom.
CVs you send us
A CV is a large amount of personal data about an identifiable person, so it is handled separately from the rest of a form submission. We accept a PDF or Word document only, up to 5 MB; we do not ask for, and do not want, a passport, an identity document, a photograph or a medical record. An uploaded CV is stored in private storage with no public web address, under a randomly generated name that carries nothing from the file you sent, and it is readable only by our own staff — nothing on this site serves it back. We keep a CV for 12 months from the day you send it and then delete it; if a placement goes ahead, it becomes part of the placement record and is kept on the same terms as that record. We process it on the basis of the consent you give when you upload it, and you may withdraw that consent and ask us to delete the CV at any time by writing to office@eurozone-recruiting.ro. So that we can act on that request, we keep one short entry in a separate index for each CV we hold: a reference code we show you as soon as the upload succeeds, the storage name of the file, and a one-way fingerprint of the phone number you gave us. That entry holds nothing else — not your name, not your phone number itself, not the name of the file you sent. It exists for one purpose, which is to turn "please delete my CV" into something we can do the same day instead of a search through everything we hold; quote the reference code when you write to us and we need nothing else from you. The entry is deleted at the moment the CV it points to is deleted, whether that is because you asked or because the retention period ran out.
When you tell us what work you are looking for
The open roles page carries a short form for telling us what work you are looking for, whether or not anything is listed on it. It collects three things and nothing else: the trade you work in, the country you are in now, and a phone number to reach you on. We do not ask for your name, your identity documents, your date of birth or a CV, and we do not need them to act on what you send. We use it for two purposes and no others — to know which trades and which countries people are asking us about, so that we know which roles to look for, and to call you if one of those roles opens. We process it on the basis of the consent you give when you send the form, we hold it alongside the enquiries described above, and we delete it on the same clock: 12 months from the day you send it. To be taken off that list before then, write to office@eurozone-recruiting.ro and tell us the number you sent. The application form on each open role page collects the same three things plus your name, nationality, years in the trade, the languages you speak, an optional email address, an optional message and, if you attach one, the reference of your CV upload — together with the reference of the role you are applying for, so we can read the application against the listing. It is handled exactly as the enquiry forms above. The email address is optional and has one further use: if you sign in to your account on this site with the same address, the applications sent with it are shown to you there. The account itself holds that address, the details you choose to save for the next application, the roles you saved on the open roles page and a sign-in session — nothing else, and nothing anyone but you can see. Your browser may keep your name, phone, nationality, country and trade locally so the next application is pre-filled; that memory never leaves your device and a “Not you? Clear” control on the form removes it.
Job alerts
The open roles page carries a form for job alerts. It collects an email address and the sector you want to hear about, and nothing else. We use it for one purpose: to send you one email when a role in that sector is published on this site, with the role’s address and a link that stops the alerts. We process it on the basis of the consent you give when you send the form; we keep it until you use that link or until 12 months from the day you subscribed, whichever comes first, and we record which roles were sent to which subscription so nobody is told about the same role twice. The email is used for nothing else and is not passed to anyone.
The abuse check on our forms
Our forms — enquiries, job applications, CV uploads and the other requests you can send us from this site — run Cloudflare Turnstile to keep automated abuse off them. The check starts when you begin using one of those forms — the first time you click, tap or type in it — not when the page opens: from that moment, your IP address and signals about your browser and device go to Cloudflare Inc., which runs the check for us as our processor and sets a cookie in your browser to hold the result. That happens whether or not you go on to send the form; a visitor who reads a page and never touches a form sends nothing to Cloudflare through this check. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the forms working and free of automated abuse; we do not use it to identify you, to measure you, or to follow you anywhere. The cookie, and what you can do if you would rather not have it, are covered in our cookies notice.
Why we process it
We process the data submitted through the forms on this site on the basis of the consent given when the form is submitted, which can be withdrawn at any time. We process IP addresses and submission logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the forms and keeping the site secure. Once a candidate is put forward for a placement, we process the data the placement needs — including sharing it with the employer and the relevant authorities — on the basis that it is necessary to perform the contract the placement rests on.
How long we keep it
An enquiry that does not lead to a placement is kept for 12 months from submission and then deleted. A CV sent through this site is kept for 12 months from upload and then deleted, on the same clock as the enquiry it belongs to. Once a placement goes ahead, we keep the records of it — including the CV — for 5 years after the placement ends, and delete them once that period ends unless a legal claim is open that requires them to be kept longer.
Your rights
You may ask to access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, have processing restricted, receive a copy in a portable format, or object to processing. Where processing rests on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting what happened before the withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, write to Eurozone Recruiting SRL, Strada Orastie 26, Sector 4, Bucharest, or to office@eurozone-recruiting.ro.
Complaints
If you believe we have handled your personal data unlawfully, you may complain to the Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP), the Romanian data protection supervisory authority, in addition to raising it with us directly.
