Which document do I need?

Two questions, and the service that fits your case from the nine below — each one a document or a procedure with a name of its own.

Who is this for?

Answer the two questions and the service that fits appears here.

How we work

Nine services, grouped by whose case it is

Each one is a document or a procedure with a name of its own. What it is, who it is for and what we do on it — and, where a case has one, the checklist it runs through.

The placement file

Romania employment immigration

The file a placement runs through — the application, the visa, the permit — and the status that years of them can lead to.

Single application

The one application, made by the employer on the state platform, that the hiring of a non-EU worker starts with — possible only where the occupation is on the List of Shortage Occupations.

Who it is for.An employer hiring a non-EU worker into a role on the shortage list.

What we do on it.We check the occupation against the list first, assemble the company file, file the single application on the state platform and track it to the decision.

Ask about this

Long-term work visa

The long-stay visa for employment — D/AM1 or D/AM2 — issued by the Romanian consulate in the worker's home country, which lets the worker travel once the application is approved.

Who it is for.A worker whose application has been approved and who now needs the visa that lets them travel.

What we do on it.We prepare the consular file, brief the worker on what the appointment requires — including the travel medical insurance the application must carry — and stay reachable while it runs.

Ask about this

Work residence permit

The document that turns a long-stay employment visa into the right to live in Romania for the length of the job.

Who it is for.A worker who has arrived on a long-stay employment visa and has to convert that into the right to live here.

What we do on it.We prepare and lodge the residence application inside the 90-day window the visa allows, book the biometrics appointment and follow the file to the decision.

Ask about this

Permanent residence permit

The permit that replaces a renewable residence with a permanent status, for a non-EU national who has lived in Romania long enough to qualify.

Who it is for.A non-EU national who has lived here long enough to move from renewable to permanent status.

What we do on it.We check the qualifying period and the conditions against the file, assemble the evidence and lodge the application.

Ask about this

Beyond a placement

Business & European mobility

The cases that are not a placement: a visit, a posting in either direction, or an EU citizen who stays.

Business visa

The visa for entering Romania to do business — meetings, negotiations, a site visit — rather than to take up employment.

Who it is for.A director, buyer or technician coming for meetings, negotiations or a site visit, not to take a job.

What we do on it.We establish which visa the trip actually needs, assemble the invitation and supporting documents, and prepare the file for the consulate.

Ask about this

Employee detachment

The paperwork of posting a worker across a border on assignment: into Romania from an employer abroad, or out of Romania to a job in another country.

Who it is for.A company posting its own staff into Romania on assignment, or posting Romanian staff to a job abroad.

What we do on it.We work out which regime the posting falls under, prepare the notifications the authorities require and keep the file compliant for the length of the assignment.

What the case covers.

  • Into Romania from an EU state: the A1 portable document, the S1 or European health card, and the fiscal residence declaration
  • Into Romania from outside the EU: the single application on the state platform, the long-stay visa and the residence permit
  • Out of Romania to an EU state: the A1 for the posted worker, and the notifications the host state requires
  • Out of Romania to a non-EU state: the invitation, the business visa and the travel medical insurance
Ask about this

EU citizen registration certificate

The certificate an EU citizen needs to live and work in Romania beyond the visa-free period, and the registrations that come with it.

Who it is for.An EU citizen staying in Romania beyond the visa-free period, to work, study or join family.

What we do on it.We prepare the registration file and lodge it, so the stay is documented from the date it needs to be.

What the case covers.

  • Registration of residence and the Romanian personal numeric code (CNP)
  • Recognition of diplomas where the profession is one Romanian law regulates
  • Fiscal registration, and the fiscal residence declaration where it applies
  • Residence registration for family members who come too

Beyond the form

Special cases & authority liaison

What falls outside the ordinary route, and the liaison with the authorities every case needs.

Emergency and special cases

Not a document but a situation: a refusal, a missed deadline, a file the standard route does not fit — and, where it helps, a memorandum to the authorities.

Who it is for.Anyone whose case has gone outside the ordinary route — a refusal, a deadline missed, a situation the standard file does not fit.

What we do on it.We read the file, establish what the authorities actually need, and where a case calls for it, prepare a memorandum setting out the position.

Ask about this

Formalities and liaison with the authorities

The paperwork, appointments and correspondence with the immigration and labour authorities that every one of the cases above generates.

Who it is for.Any of the eight above, from the first document to the final decision.

What we do on it.We handle the paperwork, the appointments and the communication with the immigration and labour authorities, so the employer and the worker are not learning a procedure while running one.

Why us

Why work with us on immigration

Experience and professionalism

Nine immigration services, handled by a team that files them daily — not a one-off case worked out from scratch.

Tailored solutions

A business visa, a secondment and a permanent residence case are different products for different situations. We scope the actual case, not a template.

Complete support

From the first document to the authorities' final decision, one contact carries the case — not a handoff between departments.

Case flow

How an immigration case runs

Six stages, from the first look at the case to what follows the decision. Not every case needs every stage; which ones apply is settled at the assessment.

  1. Case assessment

We confirm the case type, the destination, the employer and the worker's status, and check eligibility before anything is filed.

  2. Document checklist

A checklist for this case alone: what the employer provides, what the worker provides, and what needs translating or legalising.

  3. Authority filing

We prepare the file, submit it to the competent authority and track it to a decision.

  4. Visa / entry

Where the worker needs a visa, we prepare the consular file and coordinate the appointment.

  5. Residence / registration

After arrival, the residence application or the registration, with its appointments and follow-up.

  6. Follow-up

Renewals, a change of employer or of status, and the deadlines that come with them.

Questions about a case

How long does a case take?

It depends on the authority and, where a visa is needed, on the consulate. Neither publishes a date anyone can promise. We give you a realistic timeline once the case is assessed, and tell you as each stage moves.

How do I know the case is eligible?

Eligibility is checked before anything is filed: the case type, the role, the worker's status and the rules that apply to them. If a case does not qualify, we tell you before the filing, not after a refusal.

What does a case cost?

Professional fees and government charges vary by case. Both are quoted before work begins, and nothing is charged that was not quoted. When the case is part of a placement, the employer pays for it — never the worker.

What happens after the decision?

The case does not close at the decision. Residence, registration, renewals and any change of employer or status stay with the same contact who filed it.
